Damian Lewis: Spy War and Game Master implement Ian Ramallah already left Alaska Televisionthe company he founded in 2011 to launch talent-led TV, podcast and live events producer Soho Studios Entertainment.
The company, which has built a roster and is being replaced by WME, will be headquartered in Lamarra’s hometown of Glasgow, with offices in Soho.
Soho’s initial focus will be on quality fact, factual entertainment and true crime, with Soho seeking backers’ investment and co-directing with Money Group Entertainment CEO Francis Ridley and former Objective Productions MD Paul Sandler.
Ramallah oversaw Damian Lewis: War of Spies, Following in the footsteps of a killer with Emilia Fox with Trevor McDonald at E4 Game Master Reboots during her tenure in Alaska, and a Channel 5 documentary about Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle. He was previously Creative Director at Avalon and Head of Development at Tiger Aspect.
Bringing TV, audio and live events into one vertical was the driving force behind the decision, Lamarra said.
“I’m excited to launch this creative studio, where I can build IP with the most interesting and exciting talent from around the world, and then develop it across multiple platforms,” he added. “We can bring the best, fully bundled ‘Creativity and Talent’ package to broadcasters”
