SHARJAH – Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), one of the region’s vibrant tech parks, showcased a range of manufacturing-focused technologies at the 18th SteelFab exhibition held today at the Sharjah Expo Center .
The SRTIP pavilion attracted a large number of industrialists, investors and entrepreneurs who showed keen interest in advanced solutions for the metal industry and heard about integrated technological systems that are disrupting traditional approaches through innovations such as 3D printing and additive manufacturing A brief introduction, including the focus areas of SRTIP.

A team from the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab (SOILAB), one of the key units of the SRTP, highlighted its role as an incubator for emerging and innovative companies to manufacture prototypes, while the Middle East Center for Additive Manufacturing team explained how it supports the UAE’s The goal is to become a global 3D printing center.
Visitors learned that SRTIP’s mission is to become one of the largest and most advanced 3D printing technology platforms in the region by partnering with major international specialist companies such as General Electric to establish a division dedicated to additive manufacturing. Other companies in the space include 3DTIV Tech, a division of Modest Company Group, which has been providing a range of products and services to companies in the MENA region, including clients in the oil, gas and construction industries.
The SRTIP team also highlighted innovations from partners and technology developers led by Marcys Robotics, a robotics regional factory and developer of automation solutions and technologies, as well as artificial intelligence systems.
Hussain Al Mahmoudi, Chief Executive Officer of SRTIP, said: “As Sharjah is considered the incubator for the largest number of industries in the UAE, it is important to develop advanced technology systems to support this important industry and prepare it for smart transformation.
