SSH, the region’s leading master planning, infrastructure, architectural design and construction supervision firm, said it has been awarded the contract to develop the J1 Beach project on the outskirts of Jumeirah 1 in Dubai.
Under the contract awarded by Merex Investment Group, Dubai Holding’s joint venture in the UAE, SSH will act as lead consultant on the project, providing design and construction supervision.
J1 Beach forms part of two parcels by the Dubai Development Authority (DDA) with a total area of ​​103,550 square meters.
Construction work on the area has already begun and the new destination will welcome guests by the end of the year, a company spokesman said.
“When complete, J1 Beach will feature three beach clubs, all of local and international acclaim, and 10 licensed upscale restaurants where guests can dine, with views from sunrise to sunset to the magnificent ocean view,” he said.
“The new J1 Beach will replace La Mer South as the region’s flagship beach destination, offering visitors a unique and memorable beach experience,” he added.
