On September 22, Starship Entertainment released a statement threatening legal action for future attacks on its entertainers and provided an update on the current trial.

We inform you that we will take strong legal action against the malicious defamation, lying, personal attacks, defamation and malicious comments that are currently circulating online and on social media in relation to our artists.
We are currently prosecuting long-term offenders who often make malicious comments, with prosecutors seeking six months in prison, restricted employment and registration on the official sex offender website. Currently, we are awaiting the final judgment.
We plan to continue to take all possible legal steps to prevent any future cases of defamation or additional damages against our artists, without any settlement.
