Stay cool and healthy this summer at the capital’s biggest gym

[ad_1]

The players at the ACTIVE Dome are unmatched in the summer heat as the capital’s largest stadium prepares for a full schedule of training camps, group practices and community games. The can’t-miss buildings on Al Maryah Island are air-conditioned so athletes, fans and tourists can enjoy sports in comfort even as temperatures soar.

With two 7-a-side pitches, the one-year-old ACTIVE Dome will once again be a popular destination for sports fans this summer.

As part of the summer programme, Manchester City FC will host youth camps through its football academy. A second major brand will soon announce the launch of its football academy, offering more options to young footballers in the capital.

As schedules continue to grow, businesses are relying on venues to help keep employees moving. As part of corporate wellness programs, companies large and small have scheduled regular meetings where employees can participate in fitness and social activities. Others are securing custom tournaments and turnkey team-building events that build cohesion among colleagues.

Alhanouf Al Omari, Facilities Manager at ACTIVE Al Maryah Island, said: “It’s important for people not to give up their fitness routine in the summer, and we’re proud that ACTIVE Dome allows everyone to exercise comfortably in warmer outdoor temperatures.” “ACTIVE Dome is A great venue, and we’re eager to get the most out of the community this summer.”

The ACTIVE Dome covers an area of 8,660 square meters and provides players with an exceptional experience. FieldTurf® surfaces meet the highest FIFA standards for indoor football, and an innovative upward lighting system eliminates glare while maintaining HDTV-quality brightness. Nearly 400 spectator seats allow a large audience to cheer on the players.

Visitors to the ACTIVE Al Maryah Island Sports and Recreation Centre, including guests of the ACTIVE Dome, have access to changing and shower facilities, free filtered water refill stations, food trucks and health vending machines, as well as ample free parking. The site’s outdoor facilities – three football pitches as well as cricket, tennis, volleyball, basketball and netball courts – will also be open for bookings during the day and night.
