British stone. LOUIS, Missouri (KMOV) – Once home to the National Guard and where many St. Louisians play football, The Armory opens this Friday as Midtown’s new entertainment center.
“It can be many things, like St. Louisian. Multifaceted is our middle name, and we consider it our home, our living room in St. Louis,” says Ali Lamb.
The Armory’s six-acre space is filled with giant LED screens, several bars and food areas, and more than 40 games, including corn hole, ping pong, and horseshoes. There are arcade games and even a two-story slide.
The concept is hard to describe, but it’s a place to eat, drink and be merry. The $60 million renovation of the former National Guard armory took years as different concepts were proposed and then shelved.
The Armory, owned by Green Street Real Estate Ventures, will be the largest indoor venue in St. Louis. It will feature ticketed events such as New Year’s Eve celebrations, musical performances and more.
This week, the Armory will be open from 4pm to midnight, with hours of 9pm and above. On weekends, families are welcome from 11am-6pm and will then transition to an adults-only venue.
The Armory opens Friday, December 16th.
