Dubai, UAE: Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi has announced the appointment of founding principal Jonathan Cuff, who will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the new school, scheduled to open in August 2023.
Mr Cuff has served as Managing Director of three prestigious Nord Anglia schools in the UK and there is no one better suited to drive the growth and excellence of NAS Abu Dhabi than Mr Cuff. In addition to his role as Managing Director of Oxford International College, d’Overbroeck’s Oxford and Oxford Sixth Form College, Jonathan Cuff has also served as Headteacher of d’Overbroeck and has been Inspector of Independent Schools since 2015. His experience also includes serving as Deputy Headteacher and Housemaster at two HMC schools in the UK.

The capital’s new school is located on Al Reem Island, the city’s main residential and commercial district. Its opening marks Nord Anglia’s third school in the United Arab Emirates, joining the British International School Abu Dhabi and Nord Anglia International School Dubai.
NAS Abu Dhabi has capacity for 2,600 students and will follow the British curriculum, teaching students from Kindergarten to Year 13. It will also offer up to 25 A-level options for Years 12 and 13. The campus includes an early learning building, specialist classrooms, gymnasium, competition swimming pool and auditorium. It will include more than 100 classrooms, 12 science labs, art studios, music rooms, and a large design technology and maker space.
