Samsung Frame TV Anti-Glare Matte Display: A 4K TV that’s not afraid to brighten up the room
A few years ago, Samsung envisioned a creative way to use a big, bezel-less, high-resolution screen when you weren’t watching videos or playing games: displaying famous artwork on your walls. The problem is with the TV’s LCD panel, which reflects light and makes the old painting look like it’s displayed on the screen instead of the canvas. That changed with the second-generation Frame, which featured an anti-reflective matte display. Despite the technology change, Samsung says you can still see a billion colors on the screen, and it will continue to automatically adjust the color balance based on your brightness preferences. Sony’s Linkbuds: Earbuds that mix your audio with the real world
Sony created the LinkBuds to be the antithesis of noise-canceling headphones. They let outside sound in so you don’t need to take them out. The buds have a hardshell body, which means they don’t create a tight seal around your ear, and boast a circular cutout, which Sony calls a split ring. The rings give the LinkBuds their distinctive look and are where the earbud drivers are located. Sound travels from the ring through the buds and into your ears, along with some noise from the outside world. You’ll hear car horns, airplane engines and people on the street. But if you’re a runner who wants to hear vehicles approaching, this is a feature, not a bug.
