The new residence visa provides a series of benefits…
This week, the UAE announced a total of 50 new projects to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the UAE’s unification, aiming to “create a new era of prosperity and development.”
The latest move to make the UAE more attractive to foreigners is the new “Green Visa” announced on Sunday, September 5. This visa will allow residents to sponsor their parents and children under the age of 25 (regular visa sponsors for children under the age of 18).
These residence visas will be granted to high achievers, investors, businessmen, outstanding students and experts. After the visa expires, the holder will have 90 to 180 days to apply for a new visa instead of the usual 30 days for renewal.
It also announced a new freelance visa, which, together with the green visa, will make residence in the UAE more flexible, because most of the current residence visas are linked to employer guarantees.
The news was revealed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Golden visaThe 10-year visa has been granted to experts in multiple industries, including doctors and engineers in the fields of computer engineering, electronics, programming, electricity and biotechnology.
We are not yet sure about the full details of how residents can apply for a new green or freelance visa, but we expect further announcements in the coming weeks.
