In his speech, the President of Switzerland said: “On the Swiss National Day of Expo 2020 Dubai, we stand together at Al Wasl Square in the center of this impressive venue to recognize and celebrate the first world exhibition in the Middle East and North. Africa. .

Sheikh Nahyan said: “I am pleased to mention that as early as April 2016, Switzerland was the first country to confirm its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and the first country to showcase its pavilion to the world. With a long history of participation. History, it’s no surprise that the Swiss Pavilion has won multiple awards for its architecture, exhibits and thematic interpretation.”
He added: “The relationship between the UAE and Switzerland can be traced back to the early 1970s, during the time of the late founder of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. With its active participation in the Swiss business center, the UAE has about 200 Swiss companies, and Switzerland remains one of the UAE’s most important trading partners.”
