The Spain Pavilion, located in the center of the Sustainable Development Zone at Expo 2020 Dubai, has received a total of 500,000 visitors since its opening on October 1.

Commissioned by the Amann-Cánovas-Maruri studio, the Spanish Pavilion is an eco-friendly exhibition that seamlessly integrates ancient heritage and cutting-edge innovation. The pavilion is known for its huge colored cones, partially covered with ultra-light and flexible photovoltaic panels, which take visitors to the ventilated ground floor, which contains several naturally cooled squares, featuring “Glimpse”, which is a series of The exhibition, which combines some of the most relevant contributions, showcases some of the historical connections between the country and Arab culture to global culture.

Connecting the old and the new is Dynamo, an audio-visual sculpture by the famous artist Daniel Cologar. Art installations are suspended in the atrium, surrounded by ramps that allow visitors to enter the theater and underground exhibition area. It consists of three sculptural screens in the form of interlaced small rings, which display constantly changing audiovisual content due to the interaction of visitors with the ramp handrails. As the armrest detects more contact, the content on the Dynamo screen becomes more dynamic and saturated; and the sound becomes louder.

At the Pavilion Theatre, visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy the 8-minute film “August Moon” produced by Nacho Vigalondo, one of the most creative people in the Spanish film industry today. The film takes the theme of Expo 2020 Dubai “Connecting Thoughts, Creating the Future” and the Spanish Pavilion’s slogan “Smart Life” as the theme, presenting Spain as a country full of vitality, energy, talent and creativity. A sustainable and inclusive future.

On the lower floors, visitors can find the most sought-after attraction “Wisdom Forest” in the exhibition hall. 3D printed artificial forests that can produce oxygen and interactive trees that respond to the sustainable habits of the public. The combination of design, art and technology creates a unique immersive experience that highlights the richness of Spanish heritage, science, biodiversity, sustainable innovation and circular economy.

The exhibition ends with a ramp, accompanied by tourists along a 100-meter-long corridor. There are photos of Spanish people of all ages, classes and backgrounds smiling at tourists. At the same time, text and some highlights make Spain the best. One of the countries of quality. Life.

During the six-month Expo, a total of 32 Spanish companies, including 200 artists, will exhibit their works in Dubai. Approximately 100 performances will be held on the main stage of the Spanish Pavilion and the Expo venue.
