The Speaker of the Consultative Council Meets with the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Assembly

On Sunday, His Excellency Hassan bin Abdullah Ghanim, Speaker of the Consultative Council, met with the Speaker of the Federal National Assembly of the United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash, and his accompanying delegation, who are visiting the country for the final 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Hanim welcomed the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Assembly and members of the delegation, noting the fraternal relationship between the two countries.
Gorbash congratulated Qatar on the successful hosting of the Qatar 2022 World Cup and praised the impressive and outstanding organization of the event, which will be held for the first time in the Arab region.
He also congratulated Qatar, His Highness the Emir, the Qatari government and the people of Qatar on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day, and expressed his admiration for Qatar’s revival and progress in various fields. He wished Qatar further progress, growth and prosperity.
During the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries, existing aspects of cooperation in the parliamentary field and ways to strengthen them.
The two sides emphasized the need to strengthen the coordination of the positions of the two countries in regional and international parliamentary forums to realize the interests and aspirations of the brotherly peoples of the two countries and support the interests of the GCC countries.
Some members and officials of the Shula Council, as well as a delegation accompanying the UAE Speaker attended the meeting.
