The Swiss Pavilion is ready to welcome tourists from all over the world and take them into an emotional journey in Switzerland. The pavilion is expected to receive 10% of the visitors to the Expo every day.
The journey begins with the giant red carpet launched by Switzerland for the event, which takes tourists from traditional Switzerland to the 11th-ranked innovative countryday According to the 2021 Global Innovation Index (WIPO), it has been the most innovative company in the world for one consecutive year.
Visitors will begin their journey through the pavilion in the sea of fog, which is a unique and immersive experience. A surprising panoramic view of the Swiss mountains emerged from the fog. The journey continues with Schindler’s exhibition on future travel and ends with a source of innovation, highlighting Switzerland’s top innovations in different fields.
The Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE and Bahrain, His Excellency Massimo Bahrain, said: “Our participation in Expo 2020 Dubai will further strengthen the good relations between Switzerland and the UAE since the 1970s. We believe that this global event will bring benefits to all participants. Great success, and praise the UAE for uniting the world after such a challenging period.”
Manuel Salchli, Commissioner-General of the Swiss Pavilion and Chairman of the Steering Committee of Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “We are proud to see our Swiss Pavilion look new. The selected project “Reflection” was produced by Presence Switzerland, the public diplomatic agency of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and designed in collaboration with the Swiss creative team: OOS AG (architecture, master planning), Bellprat Partner AG (scene design) and Lorenz Eugster Landscaping GmbH (landscape architecture) ). It was built by ExpoMobilia.
The Swiss Pavilion adopts a public-private partnership model, and its partners include: Schindler, Rolex SA, Swiss Tourism, Clariant, Novartis, Nestlé Middle East and North Africa and KGS Diamond Group Co., Ltd. and many suppliers.
