February 27 (United Press International) — The U.S. Navy is currently participating in joint military exercises with more than 50 other countries, the U.S. Navy confirmed in a statement on Monday.
This marks the eighth batch of international maritime exercise Since its first launch in 2012.

The IMX military training was held concurrently with Cutlass Express, an exercise off the coast of East Africa and the western Indian Ocean “designed to counter malicious influence, aggression and activity across overlapping command seams and maritime domains,” According to U.S. Africa Command.
The joint exercises, led by U.S. Navy Europe-Africa, took place in the Arabian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, Red Sea, Indian Ocean and off the coast of East Africa.
