Renowned as the “King of Bollywood,” Shah Rukh Khan is celebrated not only for his acting excellence but also for his enduring friendships within the industry. While his close relationships with Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Kajol are well-documented, there’s one friendship that often remains low-key – his connection with actress Divya Seth.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and Divya Seth were fellow students in Barry John’s theatre group, where their respective journeys in acting commenced. Over time, SRK soared to stardom in Bollywood, while Divya Seth established herself in Indian television.
Known for his penchant for sharing moments with his fans, Shah Rukh Khan captured an unexpected reunion with Divya at a Mumbai restaurant in a selfie. In a heartfelt tribute to his dear friend, SRK affectionately referred to Divya Seth as his ‘closest friend’ and unveiled an intriguing detail about their bond – she was the one who imparted acting lessons to him.
Taking to his Twitter account to share a snapshot of their reunion, the superstar expressed his gratitude to Divya, writing, “My dearest friend Divya, the one who taught me the art of acting. Cherish the good ones I do, inspired by her teachings.”
For those less acquainted with Divya Seth, she is a seasoned actress who has made her mark in both television shows and films. Her acting journey commenced alongside Shah Rukh Khan under the guidance of Barry John, and they even collaborated on the 1988 TV serial Dil Darya, directed by Lekh Tandon.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan eagerly anticipates the release of his upcoming film Jawan this weekend, directed by Atlee, featuring a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra. SRK also has other exciting projects in the pipeline, including Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki and a cameo appearance in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3.
