In a live video shared to his Instagram account, TI pulled into an active construction site. TI stated that the mixed-use community is about 40% complete and should be ready for tenants sometime next year. After completion, the community will provide 143 living spaces (units).
“Since everyone is from here, let’s see what you have done for here, you dig,” TI challenged in the video. “I’m not finna. I don’t do a lot of surprising things. I want to show mine.”
He went on to say that the community was the couple’s first project as a developer, and they were “proud” of it.

The new Bankhead Apartments will also provide tenants with access to community centers, greenhouses and community gardens. Obviously, TI chose a location that has a special connection with his growth experience in Bankhead.
“This is the same K-Mart that my grandma and I used when we came here…buy bicycle parts and throw it away,” TI said. “My grandma often comes to this grocery store to buy fruits, vegetables and all our groceries, fruit rolls, etc.”
