By popular demand, the Brentwood Historical Council and the Southern Innovation Paranormal are hosting a two-night paranormal investigation at Ravenswood Mansion October 25-26.
tickets “Murmur of the Mansion” is $50 per person and includes a 2.5-hour mansion tour, history and paranormal investigation. Attendees will experience the historic 1825 mansion under the glow of lanterns, hearing stories from the past and first-hand encounters with paranormal investigators.
Tickets will be on sale for two nights, one from 6pm to 8:30pm and the second from 9pm to 11:30pm Space is limited and tickets will sell out quickly.
“This is a fun way to learn about history and the people who were members of the Ravenswood Mansion long ago. We encourage you to support this fun and educational Halloween event,” Ashley McAnulty, vice-president of the Brentwood Historical Council, said in a release. “
All proceeds from both nights will benefit the Brentwood Historical Commission and its mission to preserve Brentwood historic sites.
The investigation will only take place on the mansion’s two floors and basement, so it’s a rain or shine event. Refunds are not provided. Event guests will meet on the front porch and then walk around exploring the home. Parking is available in Smith Park. Ravenswood Building Owned and operated by the City of Brentwood and available for special event rentals. Ravenswood is located in Marcella Vivrette Smith Park at 1825 Wilson Pike, Brentwood.
You must be at least 14 years old to participate. Comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing are recommended as the trip involves stairs, standing and sitting on the floor. Guests are welcome to bring their own survey equipment, small flashlights are encouraged, and are requested to arrive 10 minutes before the ticketed event. Refreshments will be provided.
