Tom Felton considers Daniel Radcliffe his “brother”.
The 35-year-old actor hopes he sees his “Harry Potter” co-stars more often, but they will always remain close and he has “a lot of respect” for his friends.
On “CBS Morning,” he gushed: “I love this guy so much.
“I didn’t see him as I thought – it’s the same for all of us, really. But I think he’s definitely a brother. Great respect for him.”
Tom went on to praise Daniel’s way of “bringing a certain energy to whatever room he’s in,” noting how the two of them learned a lot from the veteran cast of The Witcher franchise.
He added: “But for me, looking back, how important his passion and ultimately his professionalism was, if you will.
“I think in those years he could have gotten through it quite easily. In my opinion, with him, he was always happy to bring as much as possible to the table and was always cooperative.
“And I think he learned the same way I did: from the other lads around us.”
Tom also admitted he agreed with fans that his characters Draco Malfoy and Daniel’s Harry “could” be two sides of the same coin.
He said, “You have a boy who has no parents, no money, no status, but he has everything that is good for the world: he has love, compassion, friends, truth and honesty.” And the other side is A slightly darker one, very powerful parents, lots of money, big house, all the toys, but also a bully and someone who can’t express his light because he hasn’t been shown in his life.
“These are rough descriptions, but I think it’s pretty real.”
Meanwhile, Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, recently praised Tom as her “soul mate” and admitted she had a hard time explaining their relationship to people.
Writing the foreword to Tom’s new book Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Chaos of Growing a Wizard, she shared: “Like Tom, I always try to explain to people the nature of our connection and relationship.
“We’ve been in love in a special way for over twenty years, and I can’t count the number of times people have said to me, ‘You must be drunk, only once!’ “You must have kissed! ” “There must be something!” “
“But we’ve had so much more than that. It’s one of the purest loves I can think of. We’re soulmates and we’ve always had each other’s backs. I know we always will.”
