American woman gives birth on bathroom floor 30 minutes before husband or paramedic arrives

A woman gave birth alone on the bathroom floor 30 minutes before her husband or paramedics arrived – her Ring camera captured the ordeal.

Gabriela Perez, 30, was surprised to find that she woke up with contractions on January 15, 2022, and realized her unborn baby didn’t waste any time when it arrived.

Her husband, 34-year-old warehouse manager Miguel Perez, was unable to get home in time for work and advised Gabriela to call paramedics.

But 20 minutes after she started contractions, Gabriela’s water broke and her contractions became very painful and tighter.

Taking it no longer, Gabriella gave birth to her baby daughter, Aurora Isabella, on the bathroom floor while calling 911.

Aurora weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces minutes after birth, and the couple’s home security cameras captured paramedics rushing in, wrapping the newborn in blankets and tending to Gabriella, who was bleeding.

The mum-of-six was taken to Javon Bea Hospital in Belvidere, United States, for a checkup, before she could go home with Aurora the same day.

Gabriela, a part-time clerk from Belvidere, USA, said: “It all happened so quickly, but it was a great experience.

“I didn’t expect it because the doctor checked on me a few days ago and said she hadn’t come yet.

“I woke up in contractions, my water broke 20 minutes later, and 10 minutes later she was born.

“I can not believe it.

“Miguel thought the paramedics would get to me in time, but I’m fine.

“It’s an incredible experience doing it alone.”

Gabriela was 40 weeks pregnant when her contractions started at 8am on January 15, 2022.

Doctors told her that her daughter was not pregnant and that she was. If her baby has not arrived by then, the plan is to induce labor on January 17.

“She doesn’t appear to be coming and there are no signs of giving birth,” Gabriella said.

“I was in shock when the contractions started and my husband was already at work.

“The contractions got worse quickly and my water broke at 8.20am.

“I realized she was coming soon.

“Miguel told me to call 911 and I called them but I couldn’t stop her anymore.

“I was so scared, I really didn’t know what to do.

“As soon as I pushed, she came out suddenly and fell to the floor.”

Minutes later, paramedics rushed in to take care of Aurora and Gabriella.

Gabriela was taken to Javon Bea Hospital in Belvidere for blood loss.

“They just got the bleeding under control and the two of us could go home again that day,” she said.

“Miguel thought the ambulance would be there in time, so I think he was sad that I had to do this on my own.

“But it was a magical and terrifying experience, and I realized my Ring camera was capturing it all, so I looked back at her birth.”

Aurora, now 6 months old, is getting along well with her siblings – Miguel, 10, Valerie, 9, Edan, 6, Elizabeth, 4 and Adrian, 2.

“She’s doing really well and growing up fast,” Gabriella said.

“It’s been an exciting and crazy experience, but I’m not going to change anything.”
