Trina Solar, the world’s leading provider of integrated photovoltaic and smart energy solutions, announced that it has successfully delivered 800MW 210mm Vertex modules for the Al Dhafra photovoltaic power station in Abu Dhabi to China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC).
The 2GW Al Dhafra plant will be one of the largest single-site solar power plants in the world. The plant was connected to the grid to generate electricity in April this year, a statement from the company said.
The Al Dhafra power plant, located approximately 35 kilometers from the UAE capital, will power 160,000 homes across the UAE thanks to the deployment of approximately 3.5 million solar panels.
Trina Solar said its 210mm Vertex modules have four key features that enable low-level cost of electricity (LCOE): high power, high efficiency, high yield and high reliability. It is worth noting that these modules exhibit excellent performance in extreme environments.
TÜV Rheinland conducted rigorous tests on Trina Solar’s 210mm Vertex 600W+ modules in Saudi Arabia, which has a similar climate to the Al Dhafra region, demonstrating its excellent photovoltaic conversion efficiency and ability to maintain optimal performance even at high temperatures. .
“We are delighted to have successfully supplied 800MW of cutting-edge 210mm Vertex modules to the prestigious Al Dhafra photovoltaic power plant project in Abu Dhabi. This cooperation reflects Trina Solar’s commitment to provide high power, high efficiency and reliable solar solutions even in the It can thrive in the most extreme environmental conditions,” said Gonzalo de la Vina, Regional President Europe, Middle East and Africa, Trina Solar.
He said the Al Dhafra project’s massive capacity and contribution to carbon reductions exemplified the transformative impact of solar energy.
“As a global leader in the industry, Trina Solar is proud to play a key role in the realization of one of the world’s largest single-site solar farms. We remain committed to our mission of ‘Solar for All’ and will will remain committed to achieving this goal “to drive innovation, high performance and sustainable growth in the renewable energy sector,” he added.– trade arab news agency
