Etihad Airways will increase its flights to the United States, with four additional weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to New York.
The new flights will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, and Etihad’s new Airbus A350 aircraft will continue the existing daily service, which has been deployed on the new York route since June.
The increase in frequency will provide passengers with greater flexibility between Abu Dhabi and New York, and is planned for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi to be held on 17-20 November 2022 at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi Start before the Zabi Grand Prix.
Travellers will also improve access between New York and Etihad’s global network of 70 destinations through Etihad’s codeshare, particularly in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and South East Asia, as well as connections outside New York to and from 46 destinations in the Americas Partner JetBlue Airways.
Alex Featherstone, Vice President, Network Planning and Alliances, said: “Etihad Airways is enhancing its schedule this winter to provide more choice for guests in key business and leisure destinations across our global network.
“Our New York route continues to perform strongly, with passenger demand already at record levels this summer, and Etihad is delighted to invest further in this market by increasing frequency levels ahead of the peak winter travel season.”
