According to data from the National Meteorological Center (NCM), the highest temperature recorded in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi at 3pm was 50.2°C.
At the same time, on the other side of the UAE, heavy rain and hail hit Sigi in Fujairah and Khedira in Sharjah. Mleiha in Sharjah also experienced heavy downpour.

There was also rain in Al Hanniyeh in Fujairah; Al Bataeh in Sharjah and Al Dhaid-Falaj Al Mualla road in Umm Al Quwain.
NCM stated that heavy rain and strong winds will occur in the eastern region, which will reduce visibility. Flooding is also expected in valleys (dry river areas). Due to strong winds, loose objects and trees can be dangerous.
A senior NCM official earlier explained to Khaleej Times that cloud seeding would trigger rains across the country.
Meteorological forecasters said that cloud broadcasting also enhanced the carrying capacity of eastward convective clouds.
