UAE business: Dubai Holding takes over iconic Westin Paris


Dubai Holding, a diversified global investment firm with operations in 13 countries, announced today (27 February) that it has acquired full ownership of the iconic The Westin Paris – Vendome, following the acquisition of a stake in Henderson Park .

With its privileged location, the hotel is one of the most sought-after real estate assets in Paris, France. As early as 2018, Henderson Park and Dubai Holding jointly acquired The Westin Paris – Vendome.

Built in 1878, The Westin Vendôme Paris, an iconic hotel, enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Paris’ most luxurious district.

Overlooking the Tuileries Gardens, the Seine and the Eiffel Tower – and just a short walk from Place Vendôme, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Elysées and the Louvre Museum – the hotel’s historic setting offers visitors an unparalleled entry city ​​of light.

The hotel covers an area of ​​more than 32,000 square meters and has more than 400 rooms and suites. The Westin Paris Vendome will continue to operate in partnership with Marriott International under the Westin brand and with the support of Sophos Hotel.

A company spokesman said Dubai Holding would soon start considering future plans for the property after the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“The acquisition of this major asset further strengthens Dubai Holding’s extensive portfolio of world-class assets in key gateway locations,” he noted.

Furthermore, it supports the group’s long-term strategy of global expansion, which focuses on enhancing its presence in strategic destinations around the world, including North America, the Middle East, Europe and Asia, he added.trade arab news agency
