UAE business leaders celebrate #EmbraceEquity on International Women’s Day

Dubai, UAE: Highlighting the achievements of women in the Arab world and their contribution to social, economic and cultural development, business leaders in the UAE underscored the value of #EmbraceEquity, the theme of International Women’s Day celebrated on 8 March.

Emphasizing the focus of businesses in the region on promoting a culture of inclusion, diversity and equity, they said the UAE’s visionary leadership has enabled women to showcase their capabilities and gain rewarding career and professional development opportunities. They said they would continue to promote inclusion and gender equality in the workplace.

Doohee Lee, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, emphasized the importance of fostering an inclusive work culture, saying, “On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the extraordinary social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world. At Samsung , we are proud to foster a culture where our female colleagues feel a sense of belonging and are able to reach their full potential. Samsung would not be where it is today without the contributions of these strong, talented women. As a technology leader in the region Leaders, we recognize the importance of a level playing field while fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. Through our fair practices, we aim to support our talented female colleagues in achieving their career goals, and we will continue to work to eliminate this Gender differences in the industry and advocating for inclusion for all.”

Commenting on the importance of promoting STEM education and the impressive achievements of women in industry and technology, Dr Dalya Al Muthanna, President of GE UAE and Global Head of GE International Market Strategy and Operations, added: “Technology and innovation are changing our world, opening doors to equity like never before. As we celebrate International Women’s Day this year with the theme “Embrace Equity,” we must accelerate action to advance women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. representation of the world – these are the fields that hold the jobs of the future.
