The UAE Ministry of Energy has reduced petrol and diesel prices for January, effective 1 January 2023.

These prices include 5% VAT.

The new price for a liter of Super 98 petrol in January will be Dhs2.78 per liter at all petrol stations. Dhs3.30 per liter in December.

A liter of Special 95 petrol costs AED 2.67. December is Dhs3.18.

E-Plus 91 is available for Dhs2.59. December is Dhs3.11.

Diesel will be sold at Dhs3.29. December is Dhs3.74.

In early December, the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) set a new record by approving more than $500 million in new financing at its latest council meeting and in the final quarter of 2022.

The 15 new projects approved reflect the launch of a $1 billion food security action plan by the OPEC fund and the adoption of its first dedicated climate action plan earlier this year. Additionally, the new collaboration will support infrastructure development and investment to improve communities in the Fund’s partner countries around the world, according to an OFID statement posted on its website.
