UAE delegation visits Central American countries – English version

The governments of the UAE and Costa Rica held a series of meetings to discuss their collaboration on government modernization, as well as the exchange of expertise in related fields.

The meetings took place during the visit of an official UAE delegation to Costa Rica and other Central American countries.

The delegation included Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Undersecretary of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange and Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Affairs Department, as well as a team from the UAE Government’s Government Experience Exchange Programme.

The UAE delegation met Marlon Navarro Alvarez, Undersecretary of National Planning and Economic Policy of the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica, and Saskia Rodríguez Steichen, Director of International Cooperation, Ministry of National Planning and Economic Policy, to discuss various areas of cooperation between the governments of the two countries, as well as expansion in the coming period The way governments develop and modernize partnerships.

The delegation also met Rawdha Mohammed Alotaiba, UAE Ambassador to Costa Rica, to discuss ways to strengthen the UAE-Costa Rica relationship.

Lootah emphasized that the UAE government, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, supports active partnerships to promote the UAE’s model of government action.

The UAE government delegation’s visit to Central American countries, especially Costa Rica, took place within the framework of the country’s knowledge exchange program with other governments.

It focuses on improving the efficiency of the government working system by adopting best practices and innovative solutions and initiating strategic initiatives and projects to improve performance levels and ensure readiness for the future, he said.

He added that the joint team from both countries had held a series of meetings and site visits to increase the capacity of about 400 employees.
