One of the new categories recently added to the exemption list is the international participants and exhibitors of Expo 2020 Dubai.
Eight categories of passengers are allowed to enter the UAE from countries that have suspended passenger entry. However, there are certain Covid security rules and agreements that can facilitate their entry.
For example, holders of the UAE Golden Visa (10 years) and Silver Visa (5 years) cannot just book a flight ticket online and then fly. They must show relevant documents such as passports and visa pages to the relevant airline office.
If all documents meet the eligibility criteria, they will be reviewed and approved by the relevant UAE authorities. Only after that can they board the plane and fly.
The same is true for businessmen/women entrepreneurs, in addition to providing relevant documents such as passports and visa pages, they must also provide their trade permits. They can travel, provided that they are approved by the General Security Directorate for Ports, Borders and Free Zones and the heads of the relevant emirate’s emergency, crisis and disaster management team’s high-level committee.
