Dubai: UAE residents expect fine to partly cloudy weather in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with light rain in parts of Sharjah and Fujairah.
The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) expects to be mostly partly cloudy. Low clouds with light rain will appear over the east coast, and convective clouds may form eastward in the afternoon. Some coastal and inland areas will be wet overnight and Wednesday morning with possible fog or mist.
The Meteorological Department has issued red and yellow fog warnings for parts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Heavy fog was reported in Sweihan, Remah in Al Ain, Sheikh Mohmmed Bin Rashid Road, Seih Al Sedeirah and Emirates Road in Dubai, and Razeen and Al Khazna in Abu Dhabi.
Maximum temperatures in the interior of the country are expected to be between 44 and 48°C. Temperatures will reach 39 to 44°C in coastal areas and islands, and 32 to 36°C in mountains.
The lowest temperature recorded yesterday was 22.8°C in Hamim at 5am and 22.8°C in Barakah, Al Dhafra district, at 5.30pm.
Al Qattara in Al Ain recorded a maximum temperature of 46.8°C at 2.30pm.
Humidity will be as high as 75-90% along the coast and inland.
Slight to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds are expected during the day, sometimes blowing sand and dust, with wind speeds of 10 – 25 to 40 km/h.
Seas are relatively calm to mild in the Arabian Gulf and calm in the Sea of Oman.
