If your car’s gas tank is running low, you may want to fill it up before Sunday, August 1, as the price of gasoline in the UAE has been announced. Prices in August will increase for the sixth consecutive month.
From August 1, 2021, Super 98 will increase to 2.58 dirhams per liter (Increased from Dhs 2.47 per liter in July). If you need Special 95, the cost per liter is 2.47 dirhams (2.35 dirhams in July). Diesel prices have also increased, and are now 2.45 dirhams per liter instead of 2.42 dirhams.

This is the sixth time we have seen an increase in gasoline prices in the UAE since the lockdown caused prices to stagnate in April 2020. At that time, when the blockade began, the price of Super 98 fuel in the UAE dropped from AED 2.24 in January to AED 2.16 from February to March, and then stabilized at AED 1.91 in April 2020.
