Sheikh Mohammed awards federal government gender balance index winners in 3 categories
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed satisfaction with the progress of gender balance in the country and its implementation in the work culture, foreshadowing that under the leadership of the wise Ushering in a more prosperous future under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed added that the President of the UAE is one of the most influential advocates for women who are key partners in the development of the country, advancing the approach established by the late Sheikh Zayed and the empowerment of the late Sheikh Khalifa. The rights stage has seen many legal amendments and policies supporting gender balance.

Sheikh Mohammed awarded the winners of the Federal Government Gender Balance Index in the fourth round of 2022. Winners were awarded in three categories: Best Personality Supporting Gender Balance, Best Federal Authority Supporting Gender Balance, and Best Gender Balance Initiative.
Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairman of the Women’s General Union, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Mothers and Babies, Supreme Chairman of the Family Development Foundation, “Mother of the Nation”, won the “Best Personality Supporting Gender Balance”. The award was awarded by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court Xie He Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan accepted the award.
Sheikh Mohammed bin said: “I am delighted to confer the award to Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairman of the Women’s General Union, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairman of the Family Development Foundation. The Ministry of Culture and Youth won the award at the ministerial level in the category “Best Government Agency to Support Gender Balance”. The award was accepted by Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth.
The category of Best Federal Entity in Support of Gender Balance at the Institutional Level was awarded to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security and was awarded to its Chairman, Ali Mohammed bin Hammad Al Shamsi.
The Ministry of Community Development’s ‘AlSanaa’ initiative was awarded the “Best Initiative to Support Gender Balance”, which was accepted by the Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Gender Balance Council and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Courts Sheikha Mannar bint Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the wise leadership and support provided by Sheikha Fatima Bint. Mubarak expressed his gratitude to the women of the UAE and their continued drive, stressing that it was an inspiration to continue their role in More success at home and abroad.
The journey will include new initiatives that the Council intends to launch in the next phase as part of its strategic plan for 2022-2026, which was launched by the UAE Cabinet in March in the presence of His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also oversaw the signing of performance agreements for some ministers. The agreement provides for the completion of 36 transformational short-cycle projects within 6 months to a maximum of 12 months. The development was held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi during a UAE Cabinet meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
