DUBAI: Emirates Islamic Corporation, one of the UAE’s leading Islamic financial institutions, held a ceremony to celebrate UAE Flag Day today at its headquarters in Dubai Medical City. Salah Amin, CEO of Emirates Islamic, gathered with UAE Islamic senior executives and staff to raise the flag and recite the UAE national anthem.
Emirates Islamic joins the rest of the country in celebrating Emirates Flag Day, which was first celebrated in 2013 to celebrate the inauguration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE in 2004. This day is a national holiday for Emiratis and an opportunity for UAE residents to reflect on the country’s successes and to remember the inspiring and tireless efforts of the UAE Founding Fathers who built this great nation.
