The UAE Ministry of Interior (MoI) issued a weather alert on Tuesday, urging residents and motorists to follow guidelines as “Unstable” conditions expected within the next few days.
The Ministry of the Interior and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Agency (NCEMA), among other entities, assured the public that they are fully prepared for any emergencies that may arise during this period.
Residents have been warned not to share misleading news and rumors about weather conditions. “Only refer to official sources for updates and safety instructions,” the Home Office said in a tweet.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said weather conditions were expected to be “unstable” for the next two days. Parts of Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be cloudy with varying intensities of rain and occasional lightning.

The temperature will drop significantly. Winds of up to 60 km/h kick up dust. It will be cloudy on Friday with daytime rain in some areas “particularly along the coast, north and east”.
NCM lists some safety tips for motorists:
>> Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary. Drive carefully if required and remain alert and vigilant for the safety of all road users.
>> Turn on dipped beams when visibility is reduced.
>> Follow the weather forecast through official channels and be ready to follow the instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
>> Avoid spreading rumors and follow official NCM reports.
