UAE: Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed inaugurates AED1.92 billion extension to Al Falah housing project in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: On the instructions of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today inaugurated the expansion of the Al Falah housing project in Abu Dhabi, costing more than AED1.92 billion to provide citizens with 899 new homes.

During the inauguration, Sheikh Khaled was briefed on the infrastructure, building specifications and architectural design features of the project, which is part of the ‘UAE Neighborhood’ initiative. He also examines the interior and exterior finishes of villas that meet the highest international standards to meet the needs of citizens and enhance their quality of life.

Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Mazrouei, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Executive Office; Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman, Ministry of Municipalities and Transport and Chairman, Abu Dhabi Housing Council; Abu Dhabi Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General, Executive Council; Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority; Muna Al Dhaheri, Director General, Operational Affairs, Abu Dhabi Administrative Office; Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Minister of Municipalities and Transport; Dhiyebi; and various senior engineers of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.

The project was developed to create a cohesive integrated community with all necessary amenities. Each villa features a design that reflects the UAE’s national identity, culture and heritage to meet the needs of citizens and enhance their quality of life. The expansion of Al Falah is the latest phase following the first and second phases of the project, which has provided citizens with 4,857 homes since 2012, reflecting the growing urban size of the Al Falah region.

The expansion of the Al Falah housing project covers 215 hectares and includes 899 houses, five mosques and five parks, as well as allocated land for commercial and community facilities. Each villa includes five bedrooms, two councils (one for men and one for women), dining and living rooms, and other facilities.

Al Shorafa said: “The inauguration of this phase of the housing project reflects our leadership’s directive to ensure the highest standard of living, stability and well-being for UAE citizens and their families. The project contributes to the creation of vibrant, attractive and safe communities, improving the lifestyles of citizens and stimulating economic and social development across Abu Dhabi.”

“While delivering on our leadership’s directives by enhancing the quality of life and stability of our citizens, we remain committed to developing housing projects that meet their needs and ensure the holistic development of communities,” Al Muhairi said.
