A 28-year-old man has filed a lawsuit seeking his friend to pay him Dh62,300 for committing traffic violations of the amount.

The man told the Al Ain Court of First Instance that his friend used his 2014 Range Rover without his permission, causing damage to the vehicle and property of others.

The plaintiff added that he saw Dh55,000 breached by reckless driving, among other violations, which prompted him to file the lawsuit.

However, the defendant did not appear in court despite being notified about it via text message. The trial judge has now adjourned the case.
