Abu Dhabi, UAE: Backed by Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund, a UAE-based MedTech innovation startup ProvenMed signs agreement with Korea Advanced Manufacturing Platform HubForward produces its flagship medical kit.
The agreement is the result of increased demand from global distributors for ActivGo®, ProvenMed’s flagship product for incontinence patients. The ActivGo® kit, which includes a wearable catheter, unique integrated cleaning system, portable bidet and stylish wearable urine bag, is currently available in 7 countries and 6 newly signed territories.
ProvenMed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Souheil Guessoum said: “The ActivGo® kit has helped thousands of incontinent patients return to an active lifestyle and avoid the risk of infection. Now we are looking to rapidly expand our manufacturing capacity so that we can Meet the growing needs of distributors in a timely manner.”
As part of the agreement, HubForward will also support ProvenMed’s R&D capabilities in South Korea to accelerate the testing and commissioning of its upcoming MedTech product, Comffi™, the first female mixed stress incontinence solution, ActivFront™, to support Front-Liner and ActivGo® SmartTM are the first AI wearables for bladder health monitoring.
In addition, in line with the UAE’s desire to develop domestic manufacturing, ProvenMed also hopes to develop local production capabilities in the near future, combining HubForward’s qualified manufacturing partners from South Korea with qualified local partners in the UAE.
