Abu Dhabi Police has released a video calling on motorists to follow the rules when choosing lanes at intersections.

Police stress the importance of staying in the right or left lane when you want to turn in traffic. Drivers should avoid changing mandatory lanes.

Motorists are also warned against overtaking and changing from one lane to another at intersections. Police urged drivers to pay attention to traffic lights and signs, as well as arrows on the road.

The violations can be caught by radar and a Dh400 fine will be imposed on those who fail to comply, police said.

Obeying traffic laws helps prevent accidents and keeps everyone on the road safe.
