UAE National Day – US Department of State

[ad_1]

On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the people of the United Arab Emirates as you celebrate your 51st National Day.

Our partnerships are strong, our military defends our mutual security on our behalf, tens of thousands of Emiratis study at U.S. universities, business leaders from every country work together to pursue economic opportunity, and special extensive cooperation among governments. I commend the historic cooperation that the United Arab Emirates has established with Israel over the past two years through the Abraham Accords. I also applaud the work of the Negev Forum, and our collective work with India through I2U2, which is working to bring tangible benefits to the region and beyond, and realize our aspirations for greater regional integration in the Middle East and beyond. I would also like to congratulate the success of Expo 2020 Dubai, demonstrating the resilience of the UAE amidst the various changes of COVID. We will continue to advance our joint efforts to address climate change, including the recent historic launch of the U.S.-Arab Climate Partnership, and we will continue to support your efforts when we host COP28 next year. We remain hopeful for lasting peace throughout the Arabian Peninsula and thank you for your efforts to make this possible.

May you continue to enjoy peace and prosperity during this NDP and beyond.
