There are only a few hours left until the outbreak begins new year 2023 Celebrations, United Arab Emirates Authorities are ensuring safety, security and accessibility dubai A total of 10,597 police officers, 5,800 security personnel, 1,420 volunteers, 3,651 patrol vehicles and 45 marine vessels deployed at 30 locations will host celebrations and fireworks displays. As all eyes will be on the spectacle of fireworks, lights and lasers in Downtown Dubai, another 10,000 CCTV cameras and teams from the Dubai Police, Roads and Traffic Authority, Civil Defense and Dubai Ambulance Service have rolled out across Dubai’s Used in different locations to ease the flow of traffic and movement of people, especially in the Burj Khalifa area.
To watch the New Year celebrations and fountain show, people will head to Burj Khalifa Park, an island in Burj Khalifa Lake. However, Dubai Police warned that traffic would be diverted to Marasi Drive due to the closure of Burj Khalifa Street.
Dubai Police announced on Twitter, “#Traffic_Update | Traffic will be diverted to Marasi Drive due to the closure of Burj Khalifa Street. #MyDubaiNewYear (sic).”
Global Village will also be open on December 31 from 4pm to 2am for seven fireworks displays, with a six-minute firework show starting at 8pm on the main stage to coincide with the midnight bells of different countries, including Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Turkey. If you’re attending Dubai Opera’s ‘Disco till Dawn’, featuring Britain’s Got Talent dance troupe Jasmine & Aaron, you’ll be transported outdoors to the waterfront at midnight to watch the famous Burj Khalifa fireworks .
