UAE: Police arrest murder suspect within 6 hours of beating, stabbing victim to death – News

The suspects tried to evade authorities and confuse law enforcement by moving to various parts of the emirate

The Ajman Police General Command managed to arrest a murder suspect within six hours of the incident. The accused, who identified as Asian, was caught trying to evade police in the Al Karama area.

According to Capt. Ahmed Saeed Al-Nuaimi, director of the Investigation and Criminal Investigation Department of the Ajman Police, the operations room received a distress call reporting an unpleasant smell coming from a room in the worker’s dormitory in the Ajman industrial area.

After receiving the alarm call, the police rushed to the scene to investigate. After entering the room and conducting a thorough search, the police found a body. The crime scene has been secured and relevant departments and forensic experts have been called in to collect evidence and examine the victim’s remains.

The deceased was also an Asian foreign national in his 60s. Based on eyewitness testimony, investigators began looking for a suspect in his 20s who lived with the victim. The suspect had tried to evade arrest by moving to various parts of the emirate. He doesn’t stay in one place, trying to confuse law enforcement.

Ajman police were able to locate and arrest the suspect in the Al Karama area within a short period of time. After interrogation, the suspect confessed to his crime. He revealed that there was a heated argument between him and the victim. The assailant confessed to hitting the victim with a wooden object before eventually stabbing the victim with a knife, resulting in the victim’s death.

The motive of committing the crime was determined to be an economic dispute, coupled with the suspect’s abuse and defamation of the victim’s family.

The Public Prosecution has taken charge of the investigation and will take appropriate legal action. Meanwhile, the Director of Investigation and Criminal Investigation Department of the Ajman Police praised the excellent skills and expertise shown by the investigation team.

He encouraged the public to promptly report any individuals involved in criminal activities or violations of the law, stressing that the Ajman Police remain vigilant and committed to safeguarding the security of the country and the well-being of its citizens and residents.
