UAE polls: Dubai panel to register candidates from Tuesday

The Dubai Committee for FNC Elections, part of the National Elections Committee, is fully prepared to receive candidacy applications for the upcoming elections from August 15 to 18. In-person registrations will be accommodated at Dubai World Trade Centre’s Hatta Hall, for those unable to register online.

Chairperson Essa Mohammed Khalifa Al Mutaiwei expects a significant number of candidates due to increased awareness of participation importance, particularly among youth, who make up half of Dubai’s electoral list.

Dubai’s total electorate count is 73,574, with 55% being females. 46% are under 40, 38% are between 40 and 60, and 16% are 60 and above.

The Hatta Hall will be open from 8am to 3pm over the four-day period. Complimentary parking and assistance via phone (04-3064746) or email (info@election2023.dubai.ae) will be provided.
