President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the UAE, Roberto Blanco, the Medal of Independence, First Class, at the end of his tenure.
Blanco was presented with the medal by Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
She emphasized the UAE’s desire to strengthen relations with Cuba in various fields, commending the ambassador’s contribution to developing relations and advancing bilateral cooperation during his tenure.
Hashemi thanked him for his efforts and wished him success.
For his part, Blanco expressed his gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mak His Royal Highness Toum expressed his gratitude and commended his leadership.
He pointed to the country’s achievements over the past 51 years, underscoring the leadership’s desire to elevate the UAE’s status.
