Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the exercise; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Jan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Adviser, Presidential Court Department; Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council ; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain; and several senior military officers.
Also participating in the exercise were Bahrain Defense Forces Commander-in-Chief Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander and Director of the Exercise Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Major General Al Khalifa, and Commander of the Special Forces of the Royal Guard, Colonel Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and some senior figures.
Before the exercise, the two countries agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed by the British Lieutenant General. Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, and Major General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad, presented the exercise, phases and objectives.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, President, expressed his pleasure at participating in the exercise, which highlighted the skills and abilities of the participants.
King Hamad welcomed Sheikh Mohammed’s presence in the exercise and praised the efforts of all participants to ensure its success.
“We are delighted to welcome the heroic UAE Armed Forces to their second home Bahrain and their brothers during the exercise, which confirms the close historical ties between these two friendly nations,” he said.
After the event, participants took pictures with Sheikh Mohammed and King Hamad.
