ABU DHABI, 20th August, 2022 (WAM) — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered 25 million to be provided to those affected and displaced by heavy rains and floods in Sudan emergency humanitarian aid in dirhams to help ease their suffering and improve their living conditions.
The directive of His Highness President Sheikh Mohammed to provide such assistance demonstrates the solidarity of the UAE and its people with the Sudanese people under such dire circumstances.
Relief aid is also aimed at supporting Sudan’s efforts and capacity to contain the effects of torrential rains that have flooded swathes of the country.
This gesture is a testament to the deep-rooted relationship between the two countries and is in line with the UAE’s policy and its humanitarian mission of reaching impoverished communities around the world through relief and humanitarian programmes and projects, helping to alleviate their suffering and advance their lives development efforts.
