CEO being questioned after controversial ad found
Authorities are reportedly investigating violations of Emiratisation rules by officials of a private company.
The UAE Public Prosecution says the company’s chief executive is on trial for advertising an “unskilled job” for Emiratis.
The investigative agency said it had uncovered the advert and found it violated emirate regulations and media content standards, it added.
The authority said the ad content violated the provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 279 of 2022 on the private sector emiratization rate monitoring mechanism.
Federal prosecutors fighting rumors and cybercrime have opened an investigation into the incident and are questioning the company’s chief executive.
The Attorney-General called for a speedy conclusion of the investigation and urged private sector businesses to comply with the controls and directives outlined in Ministerial Resolution No. 279 and to increase the number of Emiratis employed in the private sector.
