The Pakistan Association in Dubai posted a tweet thanking the Pakistani ambassador to the UAE for his appreciation for their efforts in repatriating prisoners released this year during Ramadan.
In a Geo News report, Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Tirmizi said he wrote to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan asking him to release Pakistani prisoners during Ramadan.
The ambassador said 325 Pakistani prisoners were released from UAE prisons this year.
He added that this was the first time he ever broke his fast in the UAE with 65 Pakistani prisoners. The interview was conducted at an event he hosted for prominent Pakistani expats in the UAE.
