UAE reintroduces three-month visitor visa, harrij times can be revealed. The three-month, or 90-day, visa was abolished late last year and a 60-day long-term visa was introduced for tourists willing to visit the country on a longer-term basis.

The call center supervisor of the federal Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) said that those who are willing to visit the UAE for 90 days can take advantage of the opportunity. “They should consult their travel agency and they will help them issue a 90-day visitor visa,” said the center director who was called.

According to industry experts, the policy will be reintroduced by the end of May 2023, allowing tourists to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days. However, depending on the service provider, the visa can be extended in-country for an additional fee.

Different types of entry permits

“There are two types of entry permits – tourist or leisure visas and visitor visas. Tourist visas are valid for 30 days or 60 days. Visitor visas are valid for 90 days. , giving travelers more flexibility in planning their trips.

The 30-day and recently introduced 60-day tourist visas have long been popular with tourists looking to stay in the UAE for a short period of time, allowing ample time to explore the country’s iconic landmarks and indulge in world-class shopping and dining.

Libin Varghese, sales director at Rooh Tourism LLC, said residents were unaware that the three-month visa had been reintroduced.

Industry experts say anyone can apply for the visa and it is valid in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

“At the moment, we haven’t received many inquiries about it, and the tourists who prefer this type of entry permit are their family members living in the UAE because they want to stay longer. For example, if a child studying in their home country or Residents’ parents visit the UAE during their holidays,” Varghese said.

A few years ago, there were only two types of entry permits in the UAE — a three-month leisure visa and a 30-day tourist visa, Subel said. “However, recently, there have been some changes in the visa process in the last year. The three-month visa can also be extended domestically by paying an extension fee, which is very welcome,” Subair said.

The cost of a 90-day visitor visa varies depending on your issuing travel specialist, starting at Dh1,500 and going up to Dh2,000, and can even be extended within the country. “Because the visa was launched a few days ago, the exact details of the extension have not been announced,” Varghese said.

According to Subair, if planning to apply for a long-term visitor visa, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Recent passport size color photo

“Once a person applies for this newly introduced visa, it can take up to five working days. But we can even receive it within two days,” Subair said.
