UAE Rushes Aid to Earthquake Survivors in Afghanistan

On Friday, the UAE, under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, dispatched critical humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in response to a catastrophic earthquake that claimed the lives of over 2,000 people last weekend.

This initiative aims to support the many affected individuals, particularly women and children, and involved the transportation of substantial quantities of food, medication, medical supplies, and in-kind assistance via relief planes.

Multiple relief organizations within the country collaborated tirelessly to assess the situation and ascertain the requirements of those impacted by the disaster.

This action is consistent with the UAE’s global humanitarian commitment to aiding those in distress.
