Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, takes part in the Battle of the Community and the Battle of the Government on the second day of the 4th Government Games in Dubai -Men’s competition.

The organizing committee of the event announced that the four international teams that participated in the preliminary round have qualified for the finals of the city battle. The qualifying teams include Denmark’s Copenhagen, Australia’s Brisbane; Gdansk from Poland; and Kutna Hora from the Czech Republic.

Sheikh Hamdan said: “The Government Games 2023 embodies the values ​​of teamwork, determination and excellence, and our strong commitment to continuous performance improvement, which drives us to be one of the best governments in the world. Through the Government Games, We seek to bring together teams from the UAE and around the world to share this ethos and celebrate these values, enabling us to overcome all challenges and deliver on our strategy of delivering world-leading government services.”

On the second day, the challenge presented at the Government Games is a real test of one’s will, physical strength and mental concentration. The participating teams at the 2023 Government Games continue to push the boundaries of sportsmanship, demonstrating inspiring commitment and dedication.

The event, held from 2 to 5 March in partnership with official sponsor DP World and organized in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, continued to see incredible displays of determination and skill from its participants. The participating teams showed extraordinary coordination and teamwork, as well as outstanding perseverance in dealing with challenges, which tested their ability to stay calm and focused as well as think under pressure.

Marwan bin Issa, Director of Gov Games, said: “Today we witnessed extraordinary performances by the participating teams in terms of physical and mental ability, teamwork and determination. The teams that have qualified for the final round of the All-Male Challenge in the Battle of Government category will be announced at the end of the third day after the three preliminary rounds.

The fourth edition of the Gov Games was supported by several partners including Gold Sponsor, Emirates General Petroleum Company (Emarat) and Silver Sponsor DEWA, ​​supporting the event for the fourth time. Other partners include First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (du), Lululemon, Dubai Media and Arabian Radio Network (ARN).
