A common misconception is that summer hiring slows down. But the UAE is witnessing a surge in job opportunities. Many job seekers who traditionally associate hiring with winter will be surprised by the sheer number of job openings across industries this summer.

The winter-only mentality is being dispelled as companies in the country aggressively recruit professionals in key industries.

According to industry experts, the increase in summer job opportunities can be attributed to a variety of factors. As the economy steadily recovers from the impact of the global pandemic, companies are aggressively expanding their workforces to meet rising demand.

Certain industries in the UAE, such as retail and hospitality, have in the past experienced hiring surges during the colder months to accommodate large numbers of tourists, many recruiters said. “However, post-Covid, hiring has become consistent throughout the year as the UAE now attracts tourists and business delegates to conferences and events throughout the year. We are busy all year round,” said Mandiip Singh, Managing Partner, Matrix Middle East – Executive Search .

According to recruiters, the UAE has experienced exponential growth in recent years, making it an attractive destination for people from all over the world to live and work. The most in-demand jobs are in industries such as real estate, business process outsourcing, banking, and IT companies.

Innovations Group Director Nikhil Nanda said last summer they had about 200 clients and 3,300 jobs. .

“The market is booming, competition is fierce, and companies are at their best when it comes to recruiting and producing strategic plans for a variety of positions to meet their requirements. Many of them are anticipating hiring in order to create a pipeline for future roles and database,” Nanda added.

Recruiters are also urging job seekers to polish their resumes, take advantage of online professional platforms and talent agencies, showcase their skills and learn more about their target companies.

Instagram, the new job portal?

Instagram has become a popular platform for companies and hiring managers to post open jobs.

Toufic Kreidieh from Brand For Less is very active on social media platforms where he is advertising the vacancy on his handle. They will be hiring for a number of roles this summer, from sales, marketing and media, to IT, government relations and more, he said.

Likewise, there are hundreds of companies posting on Instagram inviting candidates to take advantage of the opportunity. HKZ Interior Decoration LLC posts job openings for Engineer, Interior Designer, Sales Executive, Administrative Assistant and more.

Many real estate companies also post multiple job openings on their Instagram accounts. Done and Dusted Realty is hiring Real Estate Consultants and individuals with a passion for helping clients. Another realtor, Dmaxx Properties, posted an interview today from 10am to 5pm.

Recruiters have urged job seekers to stay informed and proactive over the summer, as these unforeseen opportunities could lead to opportunities for career advancement or a fresh start.
