Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Minister of Education, said the UAE is keen to implement an innovative education system that strengthens future skills and embodies the concept of global citizenship through school curricula.
Speaking at the opening of the 15th edition of GESS Dubai, the Middle East’s leading education conference and exhibition, Al Falasi said: “Such a system should enhance the comprehensive concept of quality of life, empower individuals to learn, develop gifted people and look forward to higher education, The future of scientific research, focusing on the quality and governance of higher education institutions, ensuring the effectiveness of leadership and academic institutions, and aligning higher education outputs with future labor market needs.”

The opening address was followed by a session on Foundations and Accelerators for Education in GCC Countries moderated by Dr. Majed bin Ali Al-Naimi, Minister of Education of Bahrain. It follows a speech by Omar Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, on the Digital Schools initiative.
